    What Are Nexus Song Profiles?

The BLUE BAR next to a song in your Nexus playlist window indicates the song's tempo profile. The longer the dark blue bar the higher the tempo. When you first open a playlist in Nexus the songs in that playlist are automatically compared to our extensive online music discovery database. Nexus will automatically apply the appropriate tempo and mood profile to each song. Songs without a profile will display a "?" in the light blue bar. These songs require manual profiling for the "Compose" function to properly place that song in the playlist when using this function. To manually profile a song, select the song and click the [Profiler] button in the tool bar. Nexus will remember the profile you assign to a song so you only have to do this once for a song. If that song appears in another playlist it will contain your assigned profile.
